Trust & Safety

Built for safer vehicle transactions

Buying and selling a vehicle between strangers should not feel risky. Garage Bids is being designed to make transactions safer for both sides — including identity, VIN and title verification, transaction guidance, fraud prevention tools and public ratings. Payment for the vehicle itself always happens directly between buyer and seller.

Garage Bids' role

Garage Bids provides the technology and platform that connects vehicle owners with prospective buyers. Garage Bids does not own vehicles, take title or possession, act as the seller, process the vehicle purchase price, or transfer titles. Buyers and sellers complete payment, title transfer, registration and taxes directly with each other.

Users are responsible for determining and maintaining any dealer, business, tax, registration, or other licenses required for their activities. Garage Bids provides an online vehicle marketplace and does not determine whether a user is required to hold a particular license.

What's real today

Today Garage Bids is a working prototype of the listing, bidding and auction-close experience. Vehicles, bidders, ratings and history reports shown in the app are examples used for testing.
